Gitignore not working
Asked My .gitignore file isn't working for some reason, and no amount of Googling has been able to fix it. Here is what I have: *.apk *.ap_ *.dex *.class **/bin/ **/gen/ .gradle/ build/ local.properties **/proguard/ *.log It's in the directory master, which is my git repo.
Why doesn't my global .gitignore file ignore?

.gitignore_global is not working, even .gitconfig shows the .gitignore_global
The path to the global gitignore needs to be absolute, so you could use the shell expansion here and just specify it as ~/.gitignore_global: git config --global core.excludesfile ~/.gitignore_global In order to understand what's going on if you don't use an absolute path, you have to understand how git configs work: Every repository has one in .git/config.

Install NPM into home directory with distribution nodejs package (Ubuntu)
NPM will install local packages into your projects already, but I still like to keep the system away from my operating system's files. Here's how I suggest compartmentalizing Nodejs packages: Install Nodejs and NPM via the chris-lea PPA.
npm install errors with Error: ENOENT, chmod
I am trying to globally install an npm module I just published. Every time I try to install, either from npm or the folder, I get this error. npm ERR! Error: ENOENT, chmod '/usr/local/lib/node_modules/takeapeek/lib/cmd.js' npm ERR! If you need help, you may report this log at: npm ERR! npm ERR!

husky
Using Husky with Your Global Git Hooks
Husky is an awesome JavaScript tool that gives you the power to easily run pre-defined scripts as a git hook. When you install husky, the package will install git hooks local to your project in the .git directory. This has the unfortunate downside of overriding any global git hooks you've previously defined.
Git - git-init Documentation
q --quiet Only print error and warning messages; all other output will be suppressed. --bare Create a bare repository. If GIT_DIR environment is not set, it is set to the current working directory. --object-format= Specify the given object format (hash algorithm) for the repository.
